Two decades ago, Aimee and Bill LaCalle planted the first seed for what would eventually grow into a family of distinct, groundbreaking companies. While each company has its own unique flavor, they all possess the same special ingredients to ensure culture, innovation, and excellence are at the forefront of all they do.

COMPANY FOUNDED

The LaCalle Group story began when company founders Aimee and Bill recognized the ever-increasing pace of technological advances impacting the education field. As an audiologist, Aimee discovered that advancing her education and staying current in her training often required extensive travel and time away from her family and clinic. She and her entrepreneurial husband, Bill, envisioned a better way. Challenging the outdated classroom model, Aimee and Bill pioneered an unprecedented online learning platform for working professionals.

In addition to continued.com, where the Early Childhood Education, Respiratory Therapy, Psychology, and Social Work professions are housed, Continued family sites also include AudiologyOnline, SpeechPathology.com, PhysicalTherapy.com, and OccupationalTherapy.com.

From its inception, LaCalle Group has valued its people as its number one asset. Aimee and Bill credit their rural Louisiana upbringing for the family-centered culture they’ve strived to instill in the company. Although they have since traveled the entire United States and throughout the world with their two sons, the couple didn’t have to look further than the influences of their hometown, family, and friends to know how they wanted to care for their employees.

Our innovative business model has been virtual from day one. This workforce design has allowed LaCalle Group to grow without geographic constraints, which adds to the talent, expertise, and diversity of its teams. This virtual workplace model reflects the values of Aimee and Bill, whose desire to tightly weave their personal and professional aspirations has allowed their employees to do the same. They believe people are happier when they can do what they love and want their employees to have the ability to grow in their careers without the constraints of a traditional office setting to keep them from their families, travel, or other interests.

The privately held company has grown from a mere handful of employees in the 1990s to over 100 and counting, but throughout the years, the focus on its people has been steadfast. Aimee and Bill believe that by treating their team like family, the team will in turn take care of the people who use our products.

This philosophy has been and will always be the guiding beacon for LaCalle Group as it continues to grow, innovate, and provide exceptional products.
